The shortlist for the Bradford Sports Awards has now been announced for the second annual sports awards ceremony. Once again the awards received an impressive number of nominations, with over 200 being submitted. This reflects the fantastic year of sport from Bradford athletes and clubs.

Following an outstanding inaugural ceremony earlier this year, the Bradford Sports Awards returns to the host venue of The Bradford Hotel on Thursday 2 March 2017, with main headline sponsor Provident.

The shortlist consists of Bradford athletes, coaches and volunteers spread across four main categories: Senior Achievers, Young Achievers, Active Achievers and Outstanding Contribution.

Just to a name a few the 2017 awards sees cricketer Adil Rashid do battle with boxer Muhammad Ali and Rugby League player Elliot Whitehead. Whilst Club/Team – Professional sees a host of eligible clubs who will be tackling their way to the finish line, this includes Bradford City Football Club, Bradford Park Avenue Football Club, Bradford Bulls and Keighley Cougars.

The glitzy event is promised to be a fantastic night of celebration of sport at both a professional and community level and is not to be missed. There is still a chance to purchase your tickets.
