The local charity, Age UK Bradford District are delighted to be delivering new Walking Football sessions to Bradford.
The activity has been running since February and many have enjoyed the chance to get back into sport or try something new for the first time. Friendships have been created and lots of fun has been had.
The group are welcoming and are always looking for new people to join, so why not come along or spread the word to anyone you know that would benefit from this activity. Walking Football offers a great way to have fun, stay healthy and meet new people.
Mark Rounding, Chief Executive at Age UK Bradford District, says:
"It's been a real success in getting a group active and reconnecting with others by playing walking football.
We offer more than just a kick around at the sessions and encourage people to stay around afterwards for a chat and refreshments. Through connecting with older people this way we can also find out more about what they might want and need from us."
The sessions are £2 each week with refreshments provided free of charge.
The sessions are open to anyone aged 50 and above, regardless of ability.
Just turn up and play!
Every Thursday, 11am-12pm at BEAP Community Centre, BD8 7JN
