On Wednesday 1st March, over 30 providers gathered for JU:MP's Community of Learners (CoL) event, held at the Bradford City Community Foundation's wonderful new City Hub.
The event, which was attended by JU:MP team members, JU:MP Connectors and local providers, was an opportunity for existing and new providers to come together and share knowledge, successes, learnings and challenges on each of their respective projects.
The day started with JU:MP Community Engagement Managers Kammy, Sonia and Caroline updating the room on the status of the various greenspaces developments for each of the local neighbourhoods. Team members explained how they collaborated with communities to gather insight to feed into the strategies for each of the projects, which are going into execution stages imminently.
JU:MP provider and professional boxer, Tasif Khan, even brought along his boxing gloves and training equipment to lead an active break for the group. Delegates 'took to the ring' as Tasif gave them a flavour of his Tasif Khan Boxing Academy boxing training sessions. There was no gold belt awarded, but everyone certainly put their punching abilities to the test!
Workshops then followed, allowing delegates to find out more about the JU:MP app (in its final development stages), receive communications support led by Georgia (comms lead for JU:MP) and Gaby (comms lead for Active Bradford), and there was a fantastic Active Travel update led by Ian Cullen and Emily Groves, Active Travel Advisors for JU:MP.
The day was a great success, experimenting with new formats to encourage collaboration between partners and providing a space for everyone to share key learnings and insights.
